Key responsibilities
- Define and execute the technical vision for the ecommerce platform.
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance and support.
- Oversee all technical aspects of the ecommerce platform, including architecture, design, and development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Differentiate and correlate technical requirements between operations, customer service, and logistics teams.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient ecommerce solutions.
- Optimize existing systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Identify opportunities to improve IT processes and implement best practices.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Define API requirements and standards.
- Oversee API integration and management.
- Develop and implement deployment strategies and processes.
- Ensure smooth and efficient deployment of ecommerce applications.
- Hire, train, and develop technical team members.
- Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology.
- IT Certifications are an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in business analysis and solutions development.
- Preferably with solid understanding of logistics/supply chain/freight ecommerce.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environment is an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of ecommerce platforms and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- UX Design knowledge and experience.
- Working knowledge of Oracle Commerce or comparable platforms (SAP Hybris, IBM Commerce, Magento).
- Experience in integration with PIM, OMS, CRM, CMS, BI/Web analytics, pricing, payment, loyalty, customer service, and SEO systems.
- Knowledge of web development and server tools: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, JQuery, Dreamweaver, Visual Studio .NET.
- Database management (MySQL, MSSQL).
- Networking & security knowledge including HTTPS, HTTP, FTP, SSL, TLS.
