Job description
The Airport Project Director will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of a major airport construction program in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Acting as the primary point of leadership for the PMC scope, the role involves overseeing engineering, construction, quality, safety, and financial management to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery in compliance with client requirements and industry standards.

Key responsibilities
- Set overall direction and leadership for the airport program
- Develop and implement PMC plans, policies, and procedures
- Coordinate design alternatives and construction solutions
- Continuously communicate project progress and concerns to client
- Standardize project management and business analysis practices
- Manage project budgets, contracts, and quality control provisions
- Direct construction sequencing to minimize operational disruptions
- Inspect, approve, and accept completed works to required standards
- Prepare and present detailed project status reports
- Oversee cost estimates, financial management, and risk assessments
- Lead resource and capacity management to meet deliverables
- Ensure compliance with specifications, safety, and client requirements
- Provide coaching, motivation, and guidance to project teams
- Engage stakeholders and maintain strong business relationships
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, Safety, and OH policies
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Chartered Engineer status preferred
- Minimum 25 years of project management experience
- Proven track record in large-scale PMC or construction supervision
- Strong background in aviation industry projects
- Extensive GCC experience preferred
- Senior management and coordination experience on mega projects
- Ability to lead large teams under high-pressure conditions
- Demonstrated success delivering projects under tight deadlines
