Job description
IFZA Dubai is seeking an Audiovisual Engineer to support company events, meetings, and media setups. The role involves transporting, assembling, installing, and maintaining audiovisual equipment such as cameras, lighting, LED displays, monitors, and sound systems. The ideal candidate will be skilled in multimedia technology, adaptable to dynamic environments, and capable of providing technical support to ensure smooth event execution.

Key responsibilities
- Transport, set up, and install audiovisual tools and media equipment including speakers, monitors, and cameras
- Perform electrical wiring, programming, and basic construction based on layout diagrams and schedules
- Conduct tests on audio, video, and signals to ensure proper function
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions during events
- Safely dismantle equipment, wiring, and tools after events
- Maintain and organize inventory of AV equipment, cabling, and accessories
- Perform cleaning, maintenance, and repair of audiovisual equipment
- Compile and submit expense reports to management
Experience & skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar audiovisual engineering or technician role
- IT or Engineering background preferred
- Proficiency with audio mixer software, light control decks, and cabling
- Full English proficiency; additional languages are a plus
- Strong knowledge of camera operation, LED, audio, and lighting techniques
- Excellent troubleshooting and computer skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills with customer service orientation
- Creativity, attention to detail, and adaptability
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods; good hearing and eyesight
