Job description
The Senior Project Engineer will supervise project personnel and coordinate engineering-related aspects across various departments to ensure timely and accurate project execution. This position acts as a liaison between the engineering team and stakeholders and may deputize for the Project Manager. The role involves overseeing engineering deliverables, managing project interfaces, facilitating change management, and supporting procurement, fabrication, and quality control processes.

Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and review inputs from Engineering disciplines, functional departments, and subcontractors contributing to the project.
- Ensure timely generation of deliverables, reports, and procedures.
- Support Engineering management and assist the Project Engineering Manager with planning and execution.
- Use expertise to solve complex problems and forecast resource needs.
- Act as liaison between Customer, Project Engineering Manager, Engineering Team, and third parties.
- Assist in Engineering Project Execution Plan and work-sharing interface plans.
- Prepare subcontract scope packages and attend project readiness reviews.
- Evaluate and track changes using the Desk Top Change Management System (DTCMS).
- Coordinate engineering inputs with functions like Fabrication, Marine, etc.
- Maintain and update document control registers and ensure timely distribution.
- Document major communications and coordinate technical queries to resolve missing info or clarify work scope.
- Monitor construction sequences and fabrication schedules.
- Attend weekly progress meetings and prepare minutes.
- Ensure submission of all procedures and calculations for customer approval.
- Work with Project Quality Manager to align with Quality plans.
- Coordinate vendor data approvals and resolve technical procurement issues.
- Align engineering deliverables with production and offshore operations requirements.
- Compile weekly/monthly progress reports and participate in forecasting.
- Monitor KPIs and take corrective actions as needed.
- Participate in safety, operability, reliability workshops, 3D model and constructability reviews.
- Travel to resolve interface issues and attend audits as required.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in engineering, construction, or project management.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in substantial size EPIC projects.
- Strong knowledge in Engineering, Procurement, and Fabrication processes.
- Good understanding of discipline design techniques and analysis methods.
- Preferred: Registered professional engineer or member of professional engineering society.
