Job description
The Asset Protection Team prevent and investigate loss, and advise on all areas of security and profit protection. The Asset Protection Officer, in specific, works with security guards, mall management, the Police, and the Courts to investigate losses, including shoplifting, package pilferage, and credit fraud. In addition, you will supervise security guards and review monthly and weekly reports in order to ensure that all incidents, accidents and criminal offences are minimised.

- Collaborate with security guards, mall management, the Police, and the Courts to investigate retail-related losses
- Identify and document cases of shoplifting, package pilferage, and credit fraud
- Supervise and manage the activities of on-site security guards to ensure proper conduct and vigilance
- Review and analyze weekly and monthly reports to detect trends or recurring issues related to security breaches or losses
- Implement measures to minimize incidents, accidents, and criminal offenses within the retail environment
- Conduct internal audits and spot checks in alignment with loss prevention strategies
- Liaise with legal authorities for prosecution procedures and evidence submission when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of investigations, interventions, and security incidents for compliance and follow-up
- Ensure the enforcement of security policies and protocols across the retail operation
- Support training efforts for new and existing security staff on operational standards and emergency response
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in retail, preferably in loss prevention or security
- Fluency in both English and Arabic to effectively communicate with team members and external authorities
- Proven ability to work independently and uphold high standards of confidentiality and integrity
- Demonstrated resilience, flexibility, and the ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced retail settings
- Strong computer literacy, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with handling and analyzing security footage and surveillance data
- Familiarity with local law enforcement procedures and court systems in Saudi Arabia
- Understanding of retail theft methods and appropriate countermeasures
- Capability to prepare professional incident and investigation reports
- Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
