Job description
Flydubai is seeking a Manager - Digital Communications to develop, own, and implement the airline’s digital communications strategy. The role involves managing digital media, social platforms, influencers, opinion formers, and content creation to protect and advance the company’s reputation online while supporting business objectives. This position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on expertise in managing social media channels, community engagement, influencer relations, and digital crisis communications.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company’s digital communications and annual social media strategy across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and others
- Manage daily content planning, publishing, and performance tracking to ensure a consistent brand voice and tone
- Lead the management of the social media agency including task prioritisation, reviews, and performance evaluation
- Collaborate with Brand, Marketing, PR, Advertising, and Commercial teams to align content and campaigns with business objectives
- Lead community management strategies and support escalation protocols with Customer and Call Centre teams
- Analyse performance metrics, prepare reports, and optimise content and channel mix using insights
- Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with influencers and key voices in online spaces
- Manage and develop the Social Media team, ensuring professional growth and alignment with agency outputs
- Stay ahead of social media trends, tools, formats, and algorithms to maintain competitive content
- Ensure brand consistency across all social media visuals and messaging
- Contribute to social media crisis communication, ensuring preparedness and collaboration with PR team
- Coach and motivate the digital communications team for consistency, creativity, and responsiveness
- Identify and engage key online journalists and bloggers, including participation in familiarisation trips
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s Degree (3+ years)
- Fluent in English and Arabic
- Valid UAE Media Council License
- 8–10 years of experience in digital communications
- Experience with a leading airline in customer experience, communications, or operations is desirable
