The API Product Manager (Technical) at Swift is a strategic and technical role within the API Enablement Division of the Payment Services organization. The role is responsible for the end-to-end management of Swift’s API offerings, treating each API as a product with developers as the primary customers. Key focus areas include defining the API strategy and roadmap in alignment with Swift’s business goals, harmonizing and standardizing API usage, improving existing features, and ensuring performance, security, and consistency. The incumbent collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to translate high-level business objectives into actionable technical requirements, oversees API documentation, sandbox environments, monitors key performance metrics such as uptime, latency, error rates, and adoption data, and ensures compliance with internal security policies and governance. The role demands a deep understanding of developers’ needs and experience, particularly within payments, financial services, or technology sectors.
