Job description
The Emirates Investment Authority (EIA), the UAEās federal sovereign wealth fund, is hiring a Financial Planning and Reporting Consultant for a 6-month contract in Abu Dhabi. This role will support the finance team with IFRS-compliant financial statements, corporate budgeting, and data-driven analysis to guide strategic decisions. The consultant will help enhance reporting processes through automation and ERP tools (Microsoft Dynamics preferred), ensure audit readiness, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain seamless financial operations aligned with regulatory and governance frameworks.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements and management reports ensuring IFRS compliance
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process
- Perform variance analysis and align financial outcomes with corporate objectives
- Provide financial modelling, trend analysis, and KPI tracking for decision support
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, and audit documentation
- Support implementation and improvement of ERP and reporting automation tools
- Collaborate with investment, risk, treasury teams, and external auditors to ensure financial operations compliance
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- ICAEW, ACCA, CPA, or CFA certification preferred
- 5+ years in financial planning, corporate finance, or financial reporting
- Experience within sovereign wealth funds, investment firms, or multinational corporations
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial modelling, and performance reporting
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics
- Proficiency in financial analytics, Excel (advanced functions), and reporting automation tools
- Experience in risk management, compliance, and internal/external audits
