Job description
The General Accountant role at Amara Oasis Real Estate LLC is an on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, within the real estate industry. The position is responsible for managing daily accounting activities with a strong emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and effective financial operations. The role involves maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements, and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections. The General Accountant supports budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis across multiple real estate projects while ensuring compliance with local UAE accounting regulations as well as regional and international accounting standards. Additional responsibilities include supporting internal and external audits through accurate documentation, processing payroll and expense reimbursements, and collaborating with cross-functional departments to provide financial insights and improve reporting procedures. The role requires proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Tally, advanced use of Microsoft Excel and MS Office, and prior accounting experience within the real estate or property management sector.

- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy of all accounting entries and transactions
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including balance sheets and income statements
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections

Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the real estate or property management sector
- Demonstrate excellent understanding of accounting principles and UAE accounting regulations
- Be proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally, or similar systems
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel usage
