Job description
Expo 2030 Riyadh covers a six-square-kilometre site, and Bechtel manages the infrastructure program there for Expo 2030 Riyadh Company (ERC), from early works and utilities to the streets and parks that will later become a mixed-use legacy development. Mechanical installations across the whole project fall under this position, including pump stations, HVAC systems and district cooling plants. A team of Field Engineers reports to you, reviewing and approving contractor submittals, technical queries, field change documents, drawings and As-Builts. Quality runs through everything, with audits, FAT procedures and testing, and site inspections against contract documents and codes such as the International Building Code, Saudi Building Code, ASME and ASHRAE. Contractor performance is tracked on progress, quality, cost and compliance with ES&H plans. Work fronts need to stay open, so look-ahead schedules, commodity and resource charts, engineering deliverables and material delivery schedules are reviewed constantly. Permits, licences, LOTO and permit to work requirements must be in place before work starts. Interfaces with other contractors, Engineering and the client run through regular review meetings that you lead. At least 10 years on large-scale construction, in a contractor role or a senior PMC or Delivery Partner role, plus KSA or GCC experience, is required.

- Review look-ahead schedules, commodity and resource charts, engineering deliverables and material delivery schedules to keep work fronts available
- Verify that permits and licences are in place before work starts and that their conditions are met
- Supervise Field Engineers reviewing contractor submittals, technical queries, field change documents, drawings and As-Builts
- Confirm that all site materials and equipment comply with international standards and technical specifications
- Guide construction engineers and contractors with technical advice and track their performance
- Chair interface review meetings with other contractors
- Close out the project systematically and completely
