Job description
The Senior Manager, Project Development at Masdar will support the EPC stream of clean energy project proposals across solar, wind, and waste-to-energy sectors. The role encompasses leading technical bid strategies, drafting EPC and O&M contracts, engaging with OEMs, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver optimal techno-commercial solutions with the goal of achieving lowest LCOE and high project IRR. The position is based in Abu Dhabi and is part of Masdarās Chief Investment Office.

Key responsibilities
- Manage up to four active projects and contribute to the initiation of two projects.
- Support in preparing bid technical strategies and shortlisting technologies and suppliers.
- Lead preparation of EPC RFPs with the design team.
- Assist in OEM proposal preparation, negotiation, and techno-commercial discussions.
- Oversee EPC proposal processes and competition exercises with contractors.
- Contribute to interim O&M offers and forecasting.
- Draft EPC and O&M term sheets and technical annexes.
- Guide EPC contractors on cost-reduction solutions and latest technology adoption.
- Negotiate technical and execution terms of EPC and O&M contracts.
- Map and review main equipment with procurement and transaction teams.
- Coordinate input for techno-commercial models and LCOE analysis.
- Prepare RFPs reflecting project technical specifications.
- Liaise with technical advisors, EPC contractors, and subcontractors for balance of system costing.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders for proposal development and bid accuracy.
- Ensure alignment with latest industry practices and technologies.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Engineering; MBA or relevant Masterās preferred.
- 8ā10 years of experience in EPC proposal development for solar PV or onshore wind projects.
- Experience drafting and negotiating EPC contract annexures.
- Track record of contributing to successful IPP bids.
- Expertise in EPC contracts, technical specifications, and project lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and energy industry practices.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate complex project deliverables.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
