The Senior Specialist Retail Media Ad Operations role is a country-specific position within the Retail Media Partnerships team at talabat, responsible for the end-to-end setup and optimization of advertising campaigns across multiple ad formats. The role acts as the key bridge between talabatās retail media solutions and partnersā advertising objectives, ensuring campaigns deliver measurable value. The position involves campaign execution, accurate setup, tracking, pacing, delivery, performance monitoring, optimization, and reporting. The role requires conducting performance reviews for assigned advertiser campaigns, identifying optimization opportunities, recommending adjustments, executing campaign changes, and producing comprehensive post-campaign reports with actionable insights for advertisers and internal stakeholders. The position includes applying optimization tactics such as budget adjustments, implementing optimization strategies tailored to campaign goals, troubleshooting complex campaign issues independently, escalating to appropriate stakeholders when necessary, and contributing to process improvement initiatives. The role also includes providing guidance to junior team members on routine tasks. The candidate must possess 4-6 years of experience, a BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field related to retail, FMCG, Product and Tech, and demonstrated experience in E-commerce, Performance Marketing, and Paid Social. The role requires experience managing multiple advertising campaigns and accounts, working with cross-functional teams at all levels of management, and delivering in complex and fast-paced environments. Technical capabilities include Advanced Excel skills, analyzing datasets, delivering actionable insights, and familiarity with Looker and Tableau. The role also requires a strong understanding of digital media metrics including CPC and CPM. The position is based in Manama, Bahrain, and is on-site. Key responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end execution of advertising campaigns across multiple ad formats by ensuring accurate campaign setup, tracking, pacing, and delivery while aligning campaign objectives with advertiser goals and maintaining high-quality execution standards across retail media platforms and internal systems
- Conduct in-depth performance reviews of assigned advertiser campaigns by analyzing campaign metrics, identifying performance trends, highlighting learnings, documenting areas for improvement, and communicating actionable insights to advertisers and internal stakeholders
- Identify campaign optimization opportunities by evaluating performance data, recommending budget adjustments, implementing optimization strategies, and executing tactical changes to improve campaign outcomes and maximize measurable value
- Produce comprehensive post-campaign reports using Advanced Excel and dataset analysis, summarizing performance outcomes, highlighting key insights, presenting CPC and CPM performance, and delivering actionable recommendations for future campaign improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Retail Media Partnerships, Performance Marketing, Paid Social, and E-commerce teams to ensure campaign alignment, resolve operational challenges, and drive effective campaign execution in a fast-paced environment
- Troubleshoot complex campaign issues independently by diagnosing tracking discrepancies, delivery issues, pacing concerns, and optimization challenges while escalating critical issues to the appropriate internal stakeholders when necessary
- Provide operational guidance to junior team members by supporting routine campaign setup, optimization tasks, performance tracking, reporting processes, and ensuring adherence to campaign execution standards and optimization strategies
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying operational inefficiencies, recommending workflow enhancements, supporting implementation of best practices, and improving campaign execution processes within Retail Media Ad Operations
Experience & skills
- Hold a BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field related to retail, FMCG, Product and Tech combined with 4-6 years of professional experience in Retail Media, E-commerce, Performance Marketing, and Paid Social campaign execution
- Demonstrate experience managing multiple advertising campaigns and advertiser accounts simultaneously while maintaining high levels of attention to detail and ensuring accurate campaign setup, tracking, pacing, and delivery
- Possess advanced proficiency in Advanced Excel including dataset analysis, performance tracking, reporting automation, and delivering actionable insights from campaign performance data
- Demonstrate working knowledge of analytics and visualization tools such as Looker and Tableau for campaign performance analysis, reporting, and insight generation
- Exhibit strong understanding of digital media metrics including CPC and CPM, campaign performance indicators, optimization strategies, and budget management tactics
- Show proven experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple levels of management in fast-paced and complex operational environments
- Demonstrate experience in campaign optimization, performance review processes, troubleshooting campaign issues, and executing optimization strategies aligned with campaign goals
