Job description
The Cyber Security Market Development Director role focuses on driving security-focused business growth within Accenture by identifying, qualifying, and advancing complex cybersecurity opportunities, particularly across Identity Access Management and broader security transformation services. The role is positioned as a senior-level growth and sales leadership position responsible for developing and executing security go-to-market strategies, engaging deeply with client account leads, and shaping differentiated security roadmaps to address client pain points. The position requires managing the full business development lifecycle, including account development, opportunity identification, relationship building, qualification, and progression of opportunities to priced proposal stages. The role involves close interaction with senior client leadership, including C-level stakeholders, and internal Accenture leadership, leveraging Accenture Security offerings, joint go-to-market plays, and ecosystem partnerships. The role also supports conceptualizing, planning, and implementing security solutions, with a strong emphasis on Identity Access Management platforms such as Ping, SailPoint, and CyberArk, and requires the ability to discuss network modernization, security operations, and transformation strategies in high-pressure client environments.

Key responsibilities
- Identify complex technology and security business problems and opportunities requiring deep understanding of client buyer needs and network-oriented security solutions
- Create differentiated sales opportunities based on Accenture Security offerings and joint go-to-market strategies
- Develop and manage client relationships with senior leadership, including C-level executives and client account leads
- Prospect new cybersecurity opportunities proactively through account teams and direct client engagement
- Advance qualified opportunities rapidly through the sales lifecycle to Stage 2B priced proposals
- Apply industry-leading security transformation and security operations strategies in pursuit development
- Support account personnel by contributing technical and business expertise to security-focused business development discussions
- Determine pursuit strategies, develop client contact plans, and manage opportunity qualification
- Collaborate with ecosystem partners and hyperscalers to support joint security offerings
- Travel Monday through Thursday to support client engagements and pursuits
Experience & skills
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of business development experience in professional services with a focus on security services
- Demonstrate at least 5 years of sales pursuit management experience
- Have a minimum of 5 years of direct quota-carrying sales experience with a quota of USD 8M or higher
- Exhibit experience selling Identity Access Management and security solutions
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience as specified
- Demonstrate experience working with security customers and implementing security solutions
- Show capability in engaging C-level stakeholders and managing executive client relationships
- Demonstrate experience with ecosystem partners and hyperscaler environments
- Possess the ability to discuss network modernization and security operations with senior and technical audiences
