Job description
The Vice President Digital Quality Control role at QNB Group is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of all digital banking services, including online banking platforms, mobile applications, and other digital channels and products within Retail Banking. The role leads the quality assurance strategy and operations within the Retail Digital Business Department, overseeing the development and implementation of quality assurance standards, testing procedures, quality control measures, and automated testing frameworks to ensure the highest level of digital service delivery. The position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and technical expertise, with a deep understanding of digital banking technologies, digital transformation environments, and fintech trends. The incumbent works closely with senior leadership, including the EVP Retail Digital Business and SVP Digital Centre of Excellence, to execute the digital strategy roadmap, establish and operate the Digital Centre of Excellence at group level, implement KPIs and best practices, promote cost efficiency, and champion continuous improvement and innovation across digital quality assurance. The role also involves collaboration with IT, development teams, product managers, Group Operations, internal and external vendors, auditors, compliance, financial control, and risk teams to ensure regulatory compliance, SLA adherence, and consistent delivery of secure, high-quality digital banking solutions.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy aligned with the bank’s digital transformation goals
- Lead and manage the digital QA team by setting objectives, evaluating performance, and promoting professional development
- Oversee the establishment and operation of the Digital Centre of Excellence including staffing, processes, and tools
- Implement KPIs, quality metrics, and best practices for digital quality control and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with EVP Retail Digital Business and SVP Digital Centre of Excellence to execute the digital strategy roadmap
- Coordinate with project delivery departments on deliverables, resources, priorities, timelines, and costs
- Oversee creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and automated testing scripts for all digital banking products
- Integrate quality assurance processes across the entire digital product development lifecycle
- Communicate quality metrics, risk assessments, and performance results to senior management and stakeholders
- Liaise with internal departments, Group IT, Group Operations, subsidiaries, external vendors, and consultants
- Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements to improve turnaround time and service quality
- Provide accurate and timely data to auditors, compliance, financial control, and risk teams
- Drive adoption of latest quality assurance, digital banking, and fintech trends and technologies
- Champion innovation, root cause analysis, and out-of-the-box thinking within the QA and Digital Business teams
- Promote cost consciousness, productivity enhancement, and optimization of benefits for the bank
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor degree in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
- Possess a minimum of 12 years of experience, preferably within a highly rated international bank
- Demonstrate extensive experience in software quality assurance within digital banking or financial services environments
- Exhibit strong leadership experience managing QA teams and digital quality control operations
- Show deep understanding of digital banking technologies, platforms, and digital transformation initiatives
- Demonstrate ability to implement KPIs, quality assurance frameworks, and testing methodologies at enterprise scale
- Exhibit experience working with auditors, compliance, risk, and regulatory stakeholders
