Job description
Seeking a detail-oriented and reliable accounting professional to manage and maintain the organization's full spectrum of financial operations. This role involves preparing accurate financial records, overseeing all accounting transactions, producing reports and financial statements, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), and proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or Tally. Key Responsibilities Include: Managing accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closings. Preparing financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Handling tax compliance (e.g., VAT returns) and coordinating with tax authorities and auditors. Supporting budget development, financial forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and payroll processing. Maintaining internal controls, improving accounting procedures, and ensuring secure document management. Collaborating with external partners and providing financial insights across departments. - Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and supporting documents
- Manage all accounting transactions including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results to management
- Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting activities
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), and internal policies
- Handle tax compliance, including preparing and submitting VAT returns, and liaising with tax authorities as needed
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Coordinate and complete annual audits with external auditors
- Maintain and improve accounting procedures and internal controls
- Track and manage company expenses, including processing employee reimbursements
- Collaborate with external stakeholders such as banks, vendors, and financial institutions
- Support other departments by providing financial insights and data-driven recommendations
- Ensure secure and organized filing of financial documents for regulatory and internal review
- Use accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Tally) to process financial data
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available for operational needs
- Assist in payroll processing, including verifying timesheets, deductions, and benefits
- Stay updated with changes in accounting laws and best practices to ensure compliance
Experience & skills
- A bachelorās degree in accounting or a related field is typically required.
- Some positions may prefer a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Accountancy degrees.
- Professional certifications, such as the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, are highly valued and often required by employers.
- Entry-level positions may not require experience, but higher-level roles often require several years of accounting work.
