Job description
The role involves overseeing the commercial and contractual audits of construction projects from inception to completion, covering both pre-contract and post-contract phases. Pre-contract responsibilities include auditing tendering activities, cost planning processes, and contract negotiation stages, with detailed audit of tender documents, bills of quantities, and cost estimates, supporting procurement strategy and subcontractor selection, reviewing and auditing contractual terms and conditions with clients and vendors, and auditing commercial input during project planning and design stages. Post-contract activities include monitoring project budgets versus actual spends, cash flow, and cost reporting, auditing variations, claims, and contractual correspondence, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and timelines, and reviewing the agreement of interim and final accounts. The role is situated within construction projects including high-end luxury high-rise and mid-rise tower projects, master community developments, and hospitality projects, requiring deep involvement in commercial audit, contractual audit, and cost control across the full project lifecycle.
