Job description
The Identity Consultant role within Accenture Security’s Security Transformation team focuses on delivering Identity Governance and Administration and Identity and Access Management solutions for enterprise clients. The position involves collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, assess existing IAM processes, systems, and controls, and design IAM strategies, architectures, and implementation roadmaps. The consultant is responsible for building IAM-related policies, processes, and frameworks such as identity lifecycle management, access requests, auditing permissions, and access certification. The role includes configuring and customizing IGA and Access Management platforms including SailPoint, Microsoft Entra ID, ForgeRock, Okta, Novell, and BeyondTrust, as well as integrating directory services such as Active Directory and LDAP. The consultant supports efficient deployment, rollout, and transition of IAM platform features, advises on environment-specific IAM enhancements, manages vendor and service provider interactions, prepares management reports, and ensures IAM solutions align with business processes, security policies, and compliance requirements in fast-paced consulting environments.

- Collaborate with clients to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for Identity Governance and Administration and Identity and Access Management solutions
- Build identity and access management policies, processes, and frameworks including identity lifecycle management, access requests, permission auditing, and access certification
- Assess existing IAM processes, systems, and controls to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Develop IAM strategies, architectures, and implementation plans aligned with client environments and business objectives
- Define detailed technical and business requirements for IAM and IGA solutions
- Advise on and support implementation of new IAM features tailored to client-specific environments
- Act as the liaison between IAM teams and business stakeholders, capturing evolving requirements and communicating IAM roadmap updates
- Lead efficient deployment, rollout, and transition of IAM platform features and versions
- Configure and customize IGA and Access Management platforms to align with business processes and security policies
- Develop and implement access control policies, roles, and entitlements across systems and applications
- Provide expert guidance on best practices for RBAC, role engineering, identity lifecycle management, access certification, and compliance reporting
- Collaborate with security, IT, and compliance teams to integrate IAM solutions into enterprise environments
- Provide training and ongoing support to client teams to ensure adoption and effective operation of IAM solutions
- Interact with IAM vendors and service providers to manage contractual agreements and technical dependencies
- Prepare updates, reports, and status communications for management and stakeholders
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in IT services and information security
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience working with Identity and Access Management solutions
- Experience with IAM and IGA platforms including SailPoint, Microsoft Entra ID, ForgeRock, Okta, Novell, and BeyondTrust
- Experience with directory services such as Active Directory and LDAP
- Strong knowledge of RBAC and role engineering concepts
- Prior consulting experience with strong customer-facing exposure
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced consulting environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
