Job description
The Team Leader - Facilities Management (MEP) is responsible for the efficient and effective maintenance of all assets and personnel within a designated area during assigned shifts at Dubai Airports. The role focuses on ensuring high operating reliability and safety by following defined maintenance plans, practices, and approved ways of working to meet maintenance objectives. The position requires compliance with all general and technical safety requirements to protect health, safety, and welfare. The incumbent interprets electrical and mechanical drawings including circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematic and layout drawings across systems, sets up and uses electrical and mechanical test equipment, and interprets test results. The role involves applying local and international electrical and mechanical standards and regulations, managing CMMS work orders, preparing reports, executing troubleshooting and fault-finding activities, and providing specialist technical advice for repair and maintenance of plant, systems, and equipment. The Team Leader ensures adherence to SOPs, shift reporting, handovers, records, and logbooks in line with operational procedures, leads by example with a quality-first approach, plans shift activities including work allocation, materials, safety, and mobilization, and continuously seeks improvement while using work management applications as intended.

Key responsibilities
- Ensure efficient and effective maintenance of assets and personnel within the designated area to achieve high operating reliability and safety during assigned shifts
- Conform to all general and technical safety requirements to ensure health, safety and welfare at work
- Interpret and explain electrical and mechanical drawings including circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics and layout drawings
- Set up and operate electrical and mechanical test equipment and accurately interpret test results
- Apply local and international electrical and mechanical standards and regulations during maintenance activities
- Manage CMMS work orders, prepare reports and ensure accurate maintenance documentation
- Execute systematic troubleshooting and fault-finding of plant, systems and equipment
- Plan and coordinate shift activities including work allocation, materials, safety and mobilization to maximize productivity
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, shift reporting, handovers, records and logbooks in accordance with operational procedures
- Provide specialist technical advice and support related to maintenance and repair activities
- Follow business processes fully and utilize work management applications as designed
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the line manager to achieve operational objectives
Experience & skills
- Hold an Industrial Training Institute Certificate or Diploma of three-year duration in Motor Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent post-high school qualification
- Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a facility maintenance environment or similar
- Possess an IOSH Working Safely Certificate or equivalent
- Hold a current valid UAE driving license
- Demonstrate knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, standards, CMMS usage, troubleshooting and fault finding
