The Business Development Leader (Consulting Services, Hybrid Cloud & AI) at IBM Consulting is responsible for driving growth through the origination and progression of transformational value propositions for strategic clients across industries. The role operates within IBM’s consulting and digital transformation ecosystem, leveraging hybrid cloud, artificial intelligence (AI), and technologies from IBM and Red Hat to deliver innovative solutions. The position involves engaging with C-suite executives to understand business needs, shape strategic initiatives, and deliver high-value consulting services that drive measurable business impact. The role requires designing and developing tailored client solutions by leveraging IBM Consulting capabilities across strategy, experience, technology, and operations. The leader collaborates across IBM Consulting, other IBM business units, and alliance partners to create differentiated value propositions and drive end-to-end solution delivery. Responsibilities include managing client relationships, identifying new growth opportunities, and advancing account expansion through strategic sales and consulting engagements. The role also involves applying digital transformation expertise, industry analysis, and market insights to develop innovative solutions aligned with client objectives. The position requires strong alignment with hybrid cloud and AI strategies, contributing to IBM’s broader mission of delivering technology-driven transformation and business value across global enterprises.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and drive transformational value propositions by designing innovative consulting solutions leveraging hybrid cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities
- Engage with C-suite executives to understand client needs, identify opportunities, and deliver high-value consulting services
- Collaborate across IBM Consulting, other IBM units, and alliance partners including Red Hat to shape and deliver differentiated solutions
- Design and develop tailored client solutions using consulting services across strategy, technology, operations, and digital transformation domains
- Build and maintain strategic client relationships to drive account growth, new opportunities, and long-term partnerships
- Lead business development activities including opportunity identification, proposal development, and progression of client engagements
- Apply industry analysis and market insights to develop innovative solutions aligned with client business objectives
- Drive strategic sales initiatives and ensure alignment with IBM’s hybrid cloud and AI strategy to maximize business impact
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree as required educational qualification
- Demonstrate expertise in developing transformational value propositions and delivering consulting solutions with measurable business impact
- Exhibit experience engaging with C-suite executives and managing senior-level client relationships
- Demonstrate ability to collaborate across consulting organizations, business units, and alliance partners to deliver integrated solutions
- Possess strong experience in solution design and development tailored to strategic client needs
- Demonstrate capability in strategic relationship management and driving business development and account growth
- Show knowledge of digital transformation, hybrid cloud, artificial intelligence (AI), and consulting services delivery
