Job description
The Sales Manager - Government & GCC at Saadiyat Rotana Resort & Villas in Abu Dhabi is responsible for implementing sales strategies, maximizing business opportunities, and driving revenue growth across government and GCC market segments. The role involves executing sales action plans, managing a portfolio of government and regional clients, developing corporate offers, negotiating yearly contracts, and generating new business leads. The position requires monitoring changing marketing conditions, analyzing competitor trends, maintaining major account files, and ensuring compliance with resort sales policies and SOPs. The Sales Manager collaborates with internal stakeholders to achieve targets, ensures full account coverage at managerial and executive levels, and promotes the resort within designated markets. The role also requires strong communication skills, English and Arabic proficiency, presentation capability, and deep understanding of hotel operations, while maintaining customer-focused service excellence and proactive sales strategies to exceed business objectives.

Key responsibilities
- Implement and execute comprehensive sales action plans targeting Government and GCC market segments, ensuring alignment with resort objectives and achieving or exceeding defined revenue targets while maintaining productivity and account coverage.
- Manage and maintain a complete portfolio of government and GCC accounts by engaging with managerial and departmental executives, strengthening client relationships, and delivering comprehensive client servicing.
- Develop, prepare, and negotiate corporate offer letters, yearly contracts, and all related business correspondence to secure new business opportunities and strengthen long-term partnerships.
- Generate and promote qualified sales leads for Saadiyat Rotana Resort & Villas through direct sales solicitation, telephone outreach, networking, and market engagement activities.
- Monitor changing marketing conditions, competitor trends, and market developments, providing strategic feedback to management to enhance sales performance and positioning.
- Maintain detailed records of major accounts, update account management systems, and support senior leadership in tracking sales performance and customer engagement.
- Ensure adherence to resort sales policies, procedures, and SOPs while maintaining professional standards in all client interactions and internal coordination.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support business development initiatives, optimize account management strategies, and deliver exceptional service standards across Government and GCC segments.
Experience & skills
- Hold a degree in Sales with minimum two years post graduate work experience, preferably within the hospitality or hotel industry environment.
- Demonstrate proven experience in Government and GCC market sales, account management, and business development within hotel or resort operations.
- Exhibit strong computer literacy and proficiency in preparing presentations, sales reports, and business correspondence for senior stakeholders.
- Possess excellent communication skills with proficiency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal, with additional languages considered an advantage.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest services, and hospitality sales strategies to effectively manage client expectations.
- Show proven track record in achieving or exceeding sales targets, implementing account plans, and executing sales strategies.
- Display strong organizational skills in managing portfolios, maintaining account files, and coordinating sales activities across departments.
- Demonstrate ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop proactive sales initiatives within Government and GCC markets.
