Job description
Onshore oil and gas plants in Abu Dhabi need electrical systems that are tested, energised and handed over safely, and this Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer works on site for KBR on a PMC project to make that happen. Sitting on the client side, you review contractor commissioning plans, procedures and records against project requirements. Pre-commissioning and commissioning of equipment such as switchgear, transformers, motors, UPS systems and cabling are witnessed and checked before systems move forward. Punch lists, test records and handover documentation need close attention, and issues found in the field go back to the contractor for resolution. Coordination with operations, instrumentation and mechanical teams helps keep start-up on schedule. At least 15 years in oil and gas is required, including 5 or more on onshore projects and experience across EPC and detail engineering. Previous ADNOC project and PMC experience is mandatory, along with a bachelor's degree in engineering.
