Within Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS), this role implements and manages security and resilience programs embedded across offices and operations, integrating safety, security, and resiliency into every facet of the organization. The mandate includes collecting feedback, ensuring program documentation is current, facilitating stakeholder discussions, and proposing or implementing continuous-improvement changes; developing, maintaining, and executing protocols and practices to assess and mitigate threats to company personnel and assets while managing crises and delivering threat assessment services; collaborating with Facilities Management and cross-functional teams to create innovative security strategies, investigate breaches, and develop risk assessment plans; identifying, evaluating, and monitoring enterprise risks that could affect business activities and providing leaders the information needed for critical decisions; providing trend and performance reporting using risk analytic methodologies and structured analytic techniques on qualitative and quantitative data; and supporting incident response teams and GSRS efforts by assisting where needed and joining activities that anticipate, deter, detect, and act to get ahead of potential incident consequences.
