Job description
Fever, a global tech platform for culture and live entertainment that uses proprietary technology and a data-driven approach to democratize access to experiences, seeks a Strategic Business Development Manager. The role focuses on creating and cultivating deep relationships with major producers, creators, venues, and key industry stakeholders; expertly managing contract negotiations with large partners to ensure sustainable economics and long-term value; balancing and growing a large client base with strong organizational skills; collaborating cross-functionally to deliver partner growth across the UAE and internationally; and staying current on entertainment, events, and lifestyle trends as the expert for new and trending experiences. The position operates in a demanding, dynamic startup environment and requires a self-starter mindset, data-driven decision-making, excellent communication, and comfort with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and a sales CRM (SugarCRM preferred).
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Create and cultivate deep business relationships with producers, creators, venues, and key stakeholders in the entertainment industry
- Manage contract negotiations with large partners to ensure sustainable economics and long-term value for both parties
- Balance and grow a large base of clients using strong organizational skills
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver partner growth across the UAE and internationally
- Stay up to date on entertainment industry developments and identify new and trending experiences to inform business opportunities
Experience & skills
- Possess at least 3+ years of top-tier consulting or equivalent experience plus 5+ additional years in relevant sectors (e.g., corporate management, tech companies, sport/music/arts)
- Demonstrate a strong desire to acquire new business while growing and managing an existing book of business
- Operate as a self-starter in a demanding, dynamic startup environment
- Show a data-driven approach to business and task prioritization
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Be comfortable working with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and a sales CRM (SugarCRM preferred)
- Demonstrate knowledge of the UAE’s entertainment, events, and lifestyle trends
- Preferred: experience in media/ad sales
- Preferred: fluency in Arabic
