Senior Legal Counsel - Regulatory and Employee Advisory at Qiddiya Investment Company responsible for providing expert legal guidance related to regulatory compliance and employment matters, ensuring the organization operates within the framework of applicable laws and best practices in human resources. The role focuses on delivering strategic legal advice on labor laws, employment regulations, and regulatory requirements affecting company operations while drafting, reviewing, and advising on employment contracts, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with local and international labor laws. The position involves supporting management in resolving complex employee relations issues, disputes, and disciplinary matters, while staying abreast of legal developments in labor and employment law and assessing their impact on the company. The Senior Legal Counsel collaborates with HR and other departments to ensure legal risks are effectively managed across employee lifecycle processes and represents the organization in regulatory matters related to employment, liaising with governmental authorities as required. The role also includes conducting training and workshops for management and employees to raise awareness on regulatory compliance and employment best practices, mentoring junior legal staff, and promoting a culture of legal excellence within the legal team. The position requires in-depth knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, regulatory compliance frameworks, legal drafting, negotiation, advisory services, corporate legal governance, and experience working in fast-paced corporate or in-house legal environments while managing multiple priorities and providing legal support across the organization.

Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal advice on labor laws, employment regulations, and regulatory compliance requirements affecting company operations while ensuring adherence to applicable legal frameworks and human resources best practices
- Draft, review, and advise on employment contracts, HR policies, employment procedures, and employee lifecycle documentation ensuring compliance with local and international labor laws and regulatory requirements
- Support management in resolving complex employee relations issues including disputes, grievances, disciplinary actions, and regulatory compliance matters while mitigating legal risks and protecting organizational interests
- Monitor legal developments in labor and employment law, assess their impact on company operations, and recommend appropriate compliance measures and policy updates
- Collaborate with HR and cross-functional departments to manage legal risks across employee lifecycle processes including recruitment, performance management, disciplinary procedures, and employee separation
- Represent the company in regulatory matters related to employment, liaise with governmental authorities, and support regulatory inquiries and compliance requirements
- Conduct legal compliance training sessions and workshops for management and employees to raise awareness on employment regulations, labor laws, and regulatory best practices
- Mentor junior legal staff, support professional development within the legal team, and promote a culture of legal excellence and governance within the organization
Experience & skills
- Hold Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification with admission to practice law and demonstrated expertise in regulatory and employment legal advisory
- Demonstrate minimum of 8 years of experience specializing in regulatory and employment law preferably within corporate or in-house legal environments
- Possess in-depth knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and regulatory compliance frameworks across relevant jurisdictions
- Demonstrate proven ability to manage complex employee relations issues, disputes, disciplinary matters, and regulatory compliance risks
- Show strong legal drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills related to employment law and regulatory matters
- Demonstrate excellent communication capabilities in both Arabic and English for legal documentation, negotiations, and stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrate leadership abilities including mentoring, coaching, and guiding junior legal team members within a corporate legal function
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively in fast-paced and dynamic environments while handling multiple priorities and delivering timely legal advisory support
