Job description
At Noon Academy, an edtech platform serving over 12 million students and teachers and backed by $41 million in Series B funding, the Regional GL Consultant manages the full general ledger cycleâincluding account reconciliations, journal entries, and closing proceduresâwhile overseeing the accounts receivable process to ensure timely collections and accurate reporting. The role prepares and analyzes financial statements (balance sheets and income statements), participates in month-end and year-end closing processes, and maintains strong internal controls in adherence to accounting standards. Responsibilities include preparing and analyzing financial statements, supporting consolidated statements (experience with intercompany transactions and consolidated statements is a plus), collaborating cross-functionally with finance, operations, and sales, optimizing the use of ERP systems (experience with NetSuite is a plus), and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting frameworks (IFRS certificate preferred). The position emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and effective collaboration to support Noonâs mission of transforming learning through social, group-based learning and AI.

Key responsibilities
- Manage the full general ledger cycle, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and closing procedures
- Oversee the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely collections and accurate reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements

Experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in a general accounting role, with experience in GL or AR preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with Microsoft Excel required
- Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a plus
- Previous experience with intercompany transactions and consolidated statements is a strong plus
- IFRS certificate preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
