Job description
The Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis at Dubai Holding Asset Management is responsible for managing, coordinating, and driving strategic business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis across assigned portfolios. The role involves preparing business cases, financial monitoring, and reporting to ensure operational and financial efficiencies. The position also supports decision-making by providing critical business insights, aligning financial goals with organizational strategy, and ensuring effective budgetary control. The manager will work with business unit heads, accounting, treasury, and investment teams, while contributing to process improvement and adoption of new financial technologies.

Key responsibilities
- Coordinate strategic business planning processes to ensure comprehensive, high-quality business plan submissions to shareholders.
- Work with departments and business units to develop plans and forecasts, analyzing and challenging submissions for optimization.
- Monitor global and local market trends to forecast potential impacts on assigned portfolios.
- Ensure budgetary controls are in place and serve as the focal point for budgetary controls and portfolio performance monitoring.
- Continuously monitor business performance against approved plans and suggest mitigation options where necessary.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, and Investment teams to ensure accurate transaction recording for reporting and monitoring.
- Perform financial and business analysis to provide insights into operational and financial KPIs.
- Provide strategic, commercial, and financial analysis with recommendations to support informed decision-making.
- Identify and assess analysis and monitoring requirements for assigned portfolios.
- Act as a key resource for FP&A-led initiatives and support line manager as required.
- Recommend cost and revenue efficiency improvements based on operational analysis and historical trends.
- Stay updated on financial technologies, tools, and techniques to improve planning, monitoring, reporting, and control processes.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent required.
- Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting or MBA Finance preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of Finance/Accounting experience, preferably in large retail or real estate conglomerates.
- At least 2 years of FP&A experience in the Middle East preferred.
- Previous experience with Hyperion preferred.
- Proficiency in financial systems such as Power BI, Oracle Fusion, EBS, and Hyperion/FCCS.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with proven track record in reporting and analysis.
- Excellent English communication skills; Arabic is an added advantage.
