Job description
As a Product Researcher at Careem, youâll play a pivotal role in driving a user-first approach across our products and experiences. Youâll bring innovative research practices to the table, shaping and influencing product experiences throughout the entire product lifecycle. Collaborating closely with product managers, data analysts and design partners, youâll apply design thinking methodologies to craft impactful, user-centered solutions. Using compelling storytelling techniques, youâll communicate insights, educate teams and build deep user empathy across stakeholders, ensuring that the voices of our users are at the heart of every decision we make. You'll work with various teams to uncover key research opportunities, execute studies, and translate findings into actionable insights that influence product strategy and development.

Key responsibilities
- Partner closely with product and business teams to uncover key opportunities for research that drive impact
- Be a champion for the people who use our products, advocating for their needs and shaping experiences that truly matter
- Execute research projects end-to-end, leveraging a diverse methodologies (qualitative and quantitative) to uncover actionable insights
- Craft studies that explore both the 'why' behind user behaviors and the 'what' of their attitudes
- Navigate ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced environment by prioritising research plans, aligning stakeholders and delivering insights with speed and precision
- Share findings in clear, engaging and innovative ways that inspire action and drive decision-making
- Collaborate seamlessly with teams across design, product, content strategy engineering and marketing to create cohesive and meaningful experiences
- Work independently, with the autonomy to shape your research approach while staying connected to Careemâs overarching purpose and values
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree with up to 2 years of relevant experience within user experience, applied research setting and/or product research and development
- Demonstrated understanding of a range of research processes and methods: evaluative, generative, strategic
- Solid understanding of the product development lifecycle and how research can help at each stage
- Strong written, verbal and visual communication and storytelling skills; ability to distill complex ideas into concise and accurate narratives
- Experience translating research findings into strategic narratives
- Have experience with and feel comfortable using research tools (including, but not limited to, Qualtrics, UserTesting, etc.)
- Preferred: Experience with consumer products, consumer insights or product development
- Preferred: Degrees in a human behaviour related field such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, Information Science, Media Studies, Computer Science or Economics
- Preferred: Fluent in English (bonus but not essential if you also speak Arabic or Hindi or Urdu)
