Nice One is seeking a Category Manager β Cosmetics to lead category strategy, assortment planning, and commercial growth for the cosmetics portfolio within the commercial department in Riyadh. The role focuses on owning category performance, developing and executing category strategy, aligning assortment, pricing, promotions, and merchandising to drive sales, margin, and market share. The Category Manager will manage assortment planning and lifecycle management including core ranges, seasonal introductions, and discontinuations based on consumer insights, sales data, and supplier collaboration. The position involves setting and monitoring category KPIs including sales, margin, inventory turns, sell-through, and distribution, while producing performance reports with actionable recommendations. Responsibilities include SKU-level demand forecasting, inventory optimization, managing supplier relationships, negotiating commercial terms, promotional participation, launch planning, and performance reviews. The role requires collaboration with merchandising, marketing, supply chain, and sales teams to deliver omnichannel promotional plans and point-of-sale execution. The Category Manager will conduct competitor and market analysis, identify trends and white-space opportunities, develop pricing strategies, and support new product introductions including launch planning and sell-through tracking. The role ensures product compliance with labeling, regulatory, and corporate quality standards across cosmetics categories including skincare, color cosmetics, haircare, and fragrance. The position requires strong analytical capabilities, commercial acumen, vendor management experience, familiarity with forecasting tools, Excel, BI tools, and retail planning systems, along with experience managing P&L responsibility, improving sales and margin performance, and understanding beauty consumer trends and ingredient/regulatory considerations.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategy for cosmetics by aligning assortment planning, pricing strategies, promotional activities, and merchandising initiatives to drive sales growth, margin improvement, and market share expansion.
- Own assortment planning and lifecycle management by defining core product ranges, seasonal introductions, and discontinuations using consumer insights, sales data, and supplier collaboration.
- Set and monitor category KPIs including sales, margin, inventory turns, sell-through, and distribution while producing performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations.
- Lead SKU-level demand forecasting and inventory optimization to ensure in-stock availability while minimizing excess inventory, markdowns, and supply chain inefficiencies.
- Manage supplier relationships including commercial negotiation, promotional planning, product launches, and performance reviews to maximize category value.
- Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, supply chain, and sales teams to execute cohesive promotional plans, point-of-sale materials, and omnichannel strategies.
- Conduct competitor analysis and market research to identify trends, white-space opportunities, pricing strategies, and category growth initiatives.
- Support new product introductions by coordinating stakeholders, defining launch plans, tracking sell-through performance, and incorporating consumer feedback.
Experience & skills
- Obtain Bachelorβs degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field with advanced degree considered advantageous.
- Demonstrate minimum 3+ years of category management, merchandising, or commercial experience within cosmetics, beauty, or personal care FMCG sectors.
- Show proven track record managing P&L responsibility and delivering measurable improvements in sales and margin performance.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills using sales data, forecasting tools, Excel, and familiarity with BI tools or retail planning systems.
- Possess commercial negotiation experience and ability to manage vendor partnerships and supplier relationships.
- Show understanding of beauty consumer trends across skincare, color cosmetics, haircare, fragrance, and ingredient regulatory considerations.
- Demonstrate ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, marketing, supply chain, and sales.
- Exhibit ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and category initiatives in fast-paced retail or e-commerce environments.
