Job description
Ar Rjum is a greenfield gold project in the Central Arabian Gold Region, with three open pit mines, a processing plant, tailings management facilities and supporting infrastructure about 200 km north-east of Taif. This ES&H Advisor works from the Dhalm site for Bechtel, focused on incident investigation across construction. When something goes wrong, you coordinate notification, initial response, classification support and investigation planning. Evidence collection, witness statements and root cause analysis lead to corrective actions and final reports, flash reports, safety alerts and management briefings. Corrective and preventive actions are tracked through to verified field implementation, with records kept in IRIS. Trend analysis of incidents and leading indicators points to where the ESH program can improve. Open, blame-free reporting of near misses and unsafe conditions is something you actively promote. A small team providing in-field ESH support reports to you, and toolbox talks, stand-downs, incident review boards and emergency drills are part of the routine. Candidates need an ESH degree, NEBOSH certification, 6 to 8 years in industrial construction or heavy engineering and at least 2 years supervising 3 to 4 ESH professionals.
