Job description
Services and manufacturing companies make up the commercial portfolio this Relationship Manager looks after at Mashreq, a role open to UAE Nationals only and based full time in the office. Portfolio reviews come with credit recommendations in line with the bank's credit policy, aiming for strong earnings at acceptable risk. Audited financial statements from prospective borrowers are analysed before credit proposals go to the approving authority, and CPs need fast turnaround without losing quality. Control is hands-on, through documentation, client visits, call reports, stock inspections and credit checks, with early warning signals flagged at each review. Relationships are built at decision-maker level so clients treat Mashreq as their preferred bank. New-to-bank business keeps the pipeline active. Suspected money laundering goes straight to the Unit Manager and Group MLRO. ROs and SROs on the team look to you for on-the-job development. Expect to bring 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, strong credit and marketing skills and knowledge of economic trends and financial markets, with an MBA preferred.
