Job description
The UAE National Digital Merchandising Assistant at Ounass, Dubai, supports the digital merchandising function for luxury eCommerce, focusing on driving product sales, optimizing onsite search, product placement, page content, and promotions. The role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate site content, including product images, descriptions, and digital shopping tools. This includes coordinating with Planning, Photo, Product Writing, and Digital Marketing teams for new assortment launches, maintaining product lifecycle reports to identify bottlenecks, and optimizing taxonomy, filters, internal search, and product placement to ensure discoverability. The role also involves analyzing site metrics, reviewing competitors, monitoring inventory levels, forecasting demand, preparing reports, tracking performance against KPIs, running weekly merchandising analyses, supporting Digital Merchandising Managers, and presenting recommendations based on trends and performance insights. The position requires close collaboration within cross-functional teams to enhance product availability, digital merchandising strategies, and overall eCommerce performance.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Assure timely and accurate site content including product images, descriptions, digital shopping tools, and promotions
- Partner with Planning, Photo, Product Writing, and Digital Marketing teams to support successful launches of new assortments from product pass-off to UAT and web-launch
- Maintain product lifecycle reports to identify bottlenecks in time-to-site process
- Optimize taxonomy, filters, internal search, and product placement to improve product discoverability
- Analyze site metrics and review competitors to ensure optimal digital merchandising practices
- Review site daily for accuracy of product assortments, content marketing, and promotions
- Track inventory levels for items in content marketing and partner with planners to forecast demand
- Prepare ad hoc reports to support Digital Merchandising and Digital Trading Managers
- Develop effective working relationships within the team and across departments
- Run weekly merchandising analysis and share insights with the commercial team
- Support Digital Merchandising Manager in improving product availability and ensuring the right stock at the right time
- Work flexibly across projects, taking ownership of deliverables and meeting milestones to specified standards
- Produce trend reports and provide actionable recommendations and insights
Experience & skills
- Bachelorβs Degree in Business, Fashion, or a related field
- 1β2 years of experience in a digital merchandising role
- Experience using data to provide understandable insights and recommendations
- Understanding of KPIs that deliver success within an online retail organization and their impact on merchandising
- Expert knowledge of luxury fashion brands and products
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
