Job description
Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Lead at Duqm Power Company, this Senior Mechanical Engineer keeps the power and water plant's mechanical systems safe, reliable and efficient. Preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on rotating and static equipment follows OEM recommendations and plant strategy. Complex mechanical problems are traced through root cause analysis, with corrective and preventive actions that lift reliability and availability. Overhauls, shutdowns and emergency repairs need technical supervision of engineers and technicians to keep quality and safety on track. SOPs, work instructions and technical documentation are developed and updated here, and maintenance reports, PTWs and failure analyses are recorded in CMMS/SAP. Spare parts work covers critical spares, technical specifications, tender strategies, vendor offer reviews and contract negotiation. Lifecycle cost decisions on repair versus replacement, O&M budgets and CAPEX justification are supported alongside the Mechanical Lead. Candidates need a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering, 5 to 8 years of relevant experience, knowledge of OSHA standards and Marafiq procedures and fluent English, with Arabic a plus.
