Job description
The Services Team Leader β Resource Management is responsible for leading field service resource planning, deployment, and operational execution within Baker Hughes Industrial Energy Technology (IET) services business. Reporting to the Global Field Service Manager, the role manages all resources and logistics required to perform service and maintenance activities at customer sites, ensuring the right personnel, skills, and logistics are aligned for service delivery excellence. The role includes managing deployment planning, skill alignment, long-range forecasting, and resource readiness while supporting business commitments and operational excellence. The position requires developing competitive strategies to hire, retain, develop, train, and assign skilled Field Service Engineers based on customer requirements. The role involves analyzing regional demand, understanding customer needs, developing team capabilities, managing business conflicts, resolving personnel issues, and building a strong Health & Safety culture. Responsibilities include supporting outage planning, coordinating with planners and service managers, creating short- and long-term resource plans, managing staffing and skills planning, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, coordinating site mobilization logistics including visas and gate pass readiness, managing equipment calibration, and partnering with Engineering, HR, and cross-functional teams. The role also includes driving data integrity across IT systems including Salesforce database, ERP systems, and Workday, implementing standardized project processes, coordinating career path development, and ensuring operational efficiency and customer satisfaction while supporting energy technology service delivery across the region.

Key responsibilities
- Lead field resource deployment planning and execution to meet customer and business objectives by coordinating staffing, skills alignment, logistics planning, and operational readiness to ensure successful service delivery across field service operations
- Attend weekly, daily, and monthly review calls with planners, service managers, outage excellence teams, and extended stakeholders to support outage planning, ensure timely fulfilment of resources for required work scopes, and establish a one-year resource plan for assigned teams
- Interface with customer service managers to support issue escalation, service coordination, and operational alignment while ensuring customer satisfaction and timely service execution
- Develop long-range forecasts for regional resource needs and contribute to long-term operational planning by analyzing demand, utilization, and workforce capability requirements
- Oversee daily field service operations ensuring efficiency, productivity, HSE compliance, and quality standards while maintaining operational excellence and service delivery performance
- Create and execute short- and long-term resource plans including staffing, workforce planning, skills development, training programs, and resource optimization based on forecasts and business commitments
- Collaborate with immigration and execution teams to ensure successful site mobilizations, logistics coordination, visa processing, gate pass readiness, and site training completion for field personnel
- Coordinate tooling deployment and manage field service engineersβ equipment requiring calibration while ensuring operational readiness and compliance with technical requirements
- Drive data integrity and operational reporting using IT tools including Salesforce database, ERP systems, and Workday while ensuring accurate resource planning and performance tracking
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in Services within field service or related operational environments
- Possess at least 3+ years of experience managing resources in a service industry preferably Field Service with strong background in operations, leadership, and resource management
- Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of onsite service operations, fulfilment processes, resource optimization, and operational management principles
- Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to maximize utilization, improve assigned hours, and achieve or exceed annual performance targets
- Demonstrate familiarity with IT tools including Salesforce database, ERP systems, and Workday for resource planning, operational tracking, and reporting
- Possess experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Engineering, HR, training academy, regional resource managers, and UK head office to optimize cross-region utilization
- Demonstrate knowledge or familiarity with motors, generators, and turbines, with Oil & Gas and Power/Energy industry experience preferred
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze operational risks, support decision-making, and implement operational improvements across products, processes, and procedures
