Job description
This Telecom Designer (EOI) role with Woodâs Oil, Gas & New Energies business targets an experienced professional with a proven track record in understanding the complexities involved in Offshore FEED for upstream projects to meet objectives for a high-profile client. The position works under the supervision of a Lead Design/Design Engineer to review designs for oil & gas processing facilities and their associated infrastructure; cooperate with other disciplines to ensure timely realization of competitive, achievable, and serviceable solutions, including their Production Information Documentation; participate in the definition of system and/or module specifications; participate in site testing; apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to adapt and modify designs to solve arising technical problems; and contribute to and participate in formal and informal design reviews and the development of engineering changes. - Work under the supervision of the Lead Design/Design Engineer to execute telecom design tasks.
- Review designs for oil & gas processing facilities and associated infrastructure to ensure objectives are met.
- Cooperate with other engineering disciplines to realize competitive, achievable, and serviceable solutions, including producing Production Information Documentation.
- Participate in defining system and module specifications for telecom-related scope.
- Participate in site testing to verify design intent and functionality.
- Apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to adapt and modify designs to resolve technical issues.
- Contribute to and participate in formal and informal design reviews and support the development of engineering changes.
Experience & skills
- Hold a minimum Diploma.
- Demonstrate at least 5 years of experience.
- Show experience in the oil & gas sector with specific exposure to offshore FEED.
