Job description
The Graduate Civil Engineer – Construction Supervision (Infrastructure Projects) role at Jacobs is designed as an entry-level, learning-focused position within active infrastructure project environments across the United Arab Emirates. The graduate will start from the ground up under the close guidance of senior engineers and site supervision teams, observing day-to-day site activities while supporting team members across ongoing infrastructure works. The role provides structured training and on-the-job exposure to construction supervision practices related to utilities, drainage systems, earthworks, road construction, and associated civil works. The graduate will assist with construction documentation, daily progress records, materials tracking, inspection reports, and site reporting, while learning to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction supervision procedures. Through shadowing experienced staff, the role builds understanding of quality monitoring, safety compliance, and coordination interfaces between multiple infrastructure elements. Over time, the graduate will gradually assume increased responsibility, including inspecting small work packages, reviewing method statements, and verifying completed works, steadily growing in competence, technical capability, accountability, and confidence within large-scale infrastructure delivery environments.
