Job description
The Senior Lead - Sourcing Strategy (Technology Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management) role at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) in Abu Dhabi focuses on leading end-to-end strategic sourcing activities for technology services within a banking environment. The role involves managing the full sourcing lifecycle, including preparation of RFP, RFQ, and RFI documentation in line with organizational policies, driving technical evaluation of vendor proposals, conducting technical rating and commercial assessments, and providing contract interpretation for technology service agreements to Supplier/Vendor Management (SVM), Legal, and other stakeholders. The position requires driving value through contract management in collaboration with Group Technology stakeholders, partnering closely with SVM and Legal teams to provide feedback, support contractual edits, and handle escalations. The role includes identifying transition and migration opportunities among technology service vendors, including vendor-to-vendor transitions, reverse transitions, and step-in scenarios, while leveraging supplier go-to-market strategies to identify consolidation and value engineering opportunities. The candidate is responsible for supporting sourcing negotiations, mentoring teams, and sharing best practices across the organization. The role requires strong expertise in supply market analysis, sourcing strategies, contract negotiation, supplier performance management, and risk management, along with advanced analytical capabilities. Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as data visualization tools like Power BI, is required. The position operates within a complex, high-performance banking environment, requiring deep knowledge of IT functions, technology sourcing, and vendor management, as well as experience in GCC or international sourcing contexts.
