Job description
Saudi Aramco, as the capital owner of Al-Qadsiah FC, is seeking a Finance Advisor with a strong background in football operations. The role will provide strategic financial guidance to the Human Resources & Corporate Services Business Line and collaborate closely with the Club to align financial plans with corporate objectives. This position involves performance monitoring, budgeting, investment evaluation, and advising on risk mitigation, cost optimization, and strategic decision-making. The Advisor will lead efforts to benchmark global sports finance practices and ensure regulatory compliance while driving financial excellence in the Club’s operations.

Key responsibilities
- Review and monitor the Club’s financial plans and budgets.
- Ensure development of financial risk mitigation strategies.
- Track QCC performance against Aramco-established KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with Aramco’s financial and legal regulations.
- Benchmark against local and global clubs for financial strategy best practices.
- Evaluate financial models and forecasts for strategic guidance.
- Assess and advise on investment opportunities to optimize returns.
- Produce detailed financial reports and impactful presentations.
- Advise internal stakeholders using financial analysis and projections.
- Conduct regular financial performance reviews with profitability insights.
- Manage cash flow related to player trading, events, and commitments.
- Track key metrics like net transfer value and commercial value.
- Implement cost control mechanisms and assess club expenditure evolution.
- Identify and lead finance-related process improvement initiatives.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- CPA, CFA, or CMA certification is a plus.
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally in the sports industry.
- Proven success in similar finance roles at international sports or football organizations.
- Middle East exposure preferred.
- Strong experience managing financial risk related to large player transfers.
- Excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
