Job description
The Vice President ā Business Solutions (Joint Ventures) at Chalhoub Group in Dubai leads the strategic direction, operational excellence, and integration of services across Chalhoubās portfolio of Joint Ventures in luxury retail. The role is pivotal in aligning services such as supply chain, fulfillment, customer care, technology, omnichannel, performance marketing, loyalty, and administration with JV needs and Chalhoub Groupās objectives. The portfolio includes partnerships with world-class brands like Sephora, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Dyson, Zimmermann, and Essilor Luxottica, spanning beauty, fashion, luxury tech, eyewear, and jewelry. The VP will drive governance, financial accountability, ROI measurement, CAPEX and OPEX planning, ERP and omnichannel integration, and performance scorecard reviews. Responsibilities include leading onboarding and lifecycle management of JVs, shaping three-year strategic plans, overseeing omnichannel and e-commerce execution, and ensuring operational excellence in delivery, warehouse management, and customer service. The role also covers risk management through compliance, governance, and internal audit alignment, as well as cybersecurity enforcement, business continuity planning, and SLA monitoring across fulfillment and logistics. Expertise in ERP platforms like Oracle and SAP, WMS, CRM, Salesforce, Shopify, supply chain KPIs, LEAN/KAIZEN methodologies, project and program management (PMP preferred), financial planning, performance marketing, and loyalty systems is required. The VP will also be responsible for coaching high-performing teams, building relationships with senior leaders at JV brands (CIOs, COOs, CTOs), managing escalations, and driving value creation through cross-selling services and new JV onboarding. The role requires 10ā12 years of senior leadership in retail, operations, technology, and omnichannel, with strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and cross-functional influence capabilities.

Key responsibilities
- Shape and drive the strategic direction of Chalhoub Groupās services, ensuring JV needs are integrated into ERP, omnichannel, and Group initiatives
- Lead governance processes and decision-making forums to align JV operations with Chalhoub objectives
- Support business planning and ensure ROI, CAPEX, and OPEX contributions are aligned with JV P&Ls
- Lead monthly business reviews and scorecard analysis with JVs, consolidating services into a single forum
- Evaluate brand strategy for market entry, e-commerce timing, and platform choice
- Drive service value creation through strategy, cost structure, and delivery, ensuring optimized P&L impact
- Position Chalhoubās solutions to new and existing JVs through strategic pitching, cross-selling, and onboarding
- Set business solutions strategies with President of JVs and C-level stakeholders, ensuring alignment and flawless execution
- Act as voice of business for financial accountability and operational excellence metrics
- Lead onboarding of new JVs, defining partnerships and service delivery readiness
- Redesign and deliver three-year plan for JVs and services
- Act as senior point of contact for JVs, managing escalations and ensuring smooth execution
- Oversee omnichannel and e-commerce integrations aligned with JV goals
- Prioritize and manage JV portfolio to balance demands and Group resources
- Support centers of competence in responding to brand tenders
- Lead, coach, and inspire high-performing teams to foster innovation and continuous improvement
- Build trusted relationships with JV brand leaders globally, serving as advisor on services and market solutions
- Integrate new JVs end-to-end, including legal setup in collaboration with legal and finance
- Identify and promote value-added services across JVs, coordinating with service centres for cross-selling
- Ensure projects deliver measurable value and contribute to JV P&L outcomes
- Collaborate with JV partners to define financial structures and service impact
- Define and monitor KPIs for service performance, satisfaction, integration, and cost-effectiveness
- Serve as escalation point for complex issues, ensuring resolution and providing strategic recommendations
- Provide centralized data services to JVs for decision-making and planning
- Promote a data-driven culture within JVs by standardizing KPIs and metrics
- Collaborate with JV operations and supply chain teams to monitor OTIF delivery SLAs and warehouse SLAs
- Identify operational bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement in logistics and fulfillment
- Establish and monitor risk registers for each JV with Group Risk
- Align with JV audit teams and Group Internal Audit on compliance and governance
- Ensure closure of audit findings and report compliance status to JV Boards
- Enforce Group cybersecurity policies across JVs and manage third-party risk assessments
- Develop and test business continuity plans for services and critical operations
- Support JVs in e-commerce rollouts and performance marketing support models
- Onboard JV brands into Chalhoub loyalty program, measuring success and evolving the offering
Experience & skills
- 10ā12 years in senior leadership roles in retail, operations, technology, and omnichannel (luxury retail a plus)
- Degree in business or technology
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP
- Experience with WMS, CRM, and e-commerce platforms like Salesforce and Shopify
- Strong understanding of retail, especially fashion and beauty
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, metrics, and KPIs
- Experience with LEAN/KAIZEN methodologies is a plus
- Project management and program management experience, ideally PMP certified
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of French or Italian is a plus
- Proven leadership, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders
