Job description
The Radiology Lead will oversee the daily operations of the radiology department, ensuring high-quality imaging services, regulatory compliance, and efficient workflows. This leadership role entails managing a team of radiologic technologists, coordinating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and optimizing resources to enhance patient care. The ideal candidate will focus on ensuring quality patient care, maintaining compliance with industry standards, and implementing best practices to boost departmental efficiency.

Key responsibilities
- Supervise and manage radiology staff: hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Develop and implement processes to maintain high standards of patient care.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
- Manage departmental budgets, analyze financial data, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Oversee procurement and maintenance of radiology equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate patient services.
- Stay informed of industry trends and recommend improvements.
- Monitor departmental performance metrics to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with data protection laws.
- Address first-line complaints professionally, providing necessary documentation when required.
- Apply principles of Radiation Safety as per local and national regulations.
Experience & skills
- UAE Medical Health Authority License (DHA).
- Bachelorās degree in Radiography/Radiology Technology or a Diploma/Associate degree with relevant accreditation.
- 5+ years of experience in a radiology department.
- Minimum of 2 years in a management/supervisory role.
- Resuscitation Certificate relevant to the specialty.
- Ongoing Continuing Medical Education (CME).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and multitask in high-pressure settings.
- Commitment to providing excellent patient care while maintaining a professional demeanor.
