Job description
The Commercial Manager at Hilton Garden Inn Dubai, Mall Avenue is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive commercial strategy covering all revenue streams, including Rooms, F&B, GC&E, Leisure, and Spa, to maximize revenue, profitability, and market share. This role collaborates closely with the Revenue Management team, Sales, Catering and Events, Marketing, eCommerce, and Public Relations teams, leveraging Hilton’s commercial tools and business intelligence. The Commercial Manager acts as a key business partner to the Hotel General Manager, driving budgeted revenues, aligning strategies with TGOP and EBITDA targets, managing pricing and rate quotation strategies, and coordinating with regional and area support teams. The role emphasizes leadership of the commercial team, development of talent, market trend analysis, and ensuring Hilton brand standards and corporate identity are consistently upheld while seizing opportunities to enhance hotel performance and stakeholder value.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a commercial strategy across all revenue streams to maximize total revenue, profit performance, and market share penetration for the hotel.
- Plan and execute revenue-generating activities in collaboration with Revenue Management, Sales, Catering and Events, Marketing, eCommerce, and Public Relations teams.
- Drive budgeted top-line revenue and forecast delivery through disciplined execution using Hilton Commercial Focus processes and available business intelligence.
- Support and manage F&B commercial activities in coordination with the F&B Manager, Director of Operations, and Hotel General Manager.
- Develop, coach, and evaluate the commercial team, managing KPIs, performance, and talent retention within a matrixed organizational structure.
- Collaborate with Finance and Operations to ensure profitability aligned with TGOP and EBITDA targets, cost of sale, route-to-market optimization, and channel shift strategies.
- Establish and maintain pricing strategies, rate quotations, and business review guidelines to maximize sales, catering, and group market share opportunities.
- Coordinate marketing, sales, and public relations initiatives with regional and brand support teams to enhance hotel commercial performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, stakeholders, and Hilton support teams to optimize commercial outcomes and hotel value.
Experience & skills
- Minimum 3+ years hospitality/travel industry experience in a revenue-generating or commercial services role.
- Minimum 3+ years experience presenting sales plans and business strategies to senior executives and stakeholder groups.
- Minimum 3+ years experience working collaboratively in a matrixed organizational environment.
- Minimum 3+ years working with departmental financial data to make strategic and tactical business decisions.
- Minimum 3+ years evaluating and identifying business opportunities for a hospitality organization.
- At least 3 years of experience managing a sales or commercial team in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Fluent in English; local language skills considered advantageous.
- Experience working in a multi-complex hotel or travel industry environment.
- Knowledge across multiple disciplines including Marketing, eCommerce, and Finance.
- Demonstrated ability to optimize revenue streams, align commercial strategies with operational objectives, and drive team performance.
