Job description
The Relationship Manager for Deutsche Bank Private Bank in Dubai serves as the primary point of contact for clients in the Global South Asia market, particularly Non-Resident Indians. The role entails managing and developing holistic client relationships, growing assets under management, and delivering bespoke wealth management solutions across traditional and alternative investments. Responsibilities include prospecting new clients, maintaining existing relationships, coordinating with Investment Managers and Institutional Wealth Partners, and advising on investments and lending within regulatory frameworks. The role requires proactive identification of opportunities, participation in client events, adherence to AML and KYC requirements, and collaboration with other coverage, product, and support functions to deliver Deutsche Bank’s comprehensive value proposition. The position also emphasizes professional integrity, risk management, regulatory compliance, and development of junior staff.

Key responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain holistic relationships with clients, ensuring high-standard client experience
- Serve as first point of contact for client complaints and resolve issues effectively
- Acquire new clients and assets, focusing on prospecting and long-term relationship building
- Collaborate with Investment Managers and Institutional Wealth Partners to deepen client relationships and originate business
- Advise clients within regulatory frameworks and keep up-to-date with client-impacting initiatives
- Identify client lending and financing needs and involve specialists to develop opportunities
- Conduct continuous market analysis to identify potential leads and business opportunities
- Own AML responsibilities for client relationships, including KYC quality, timeliness, and monitoring account behavior
- Manage suitability and appropriateness of client investments, ensuring proper execution checks
- Participate in client social events, PR, and marketing activities to enhance relationships
- Lead by example in operating rhythm, including pipeline review, account planning, and prospecting
- Coordinate with other DB divisions to leverage the full value proposition for clients
- Support business growth strategy and contribute to a high-performing team
- Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, professional ethics, and reputational risk management
Experience & skills
- Minimum 7/10/15 years of relevant wealth management experience for VP/Director/MD levels
- Strong network of clients in the target coverage market (Global South Asia / Non-Resident Indians)
- Fluent in English and other relevant target market languages
- Detail-oriented in strategy and execution
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship management skills
- Superior investment acumen and financial product knowledge
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks including RDR, MiFID II, and cross-border rules
- Professional integrity and ethical conduct
- Self-starter with ability to develop junior staff (analysts)
- CFA, MBA, or other advanced degree is a plus
