Job description
The Manufacturing Excellence Engineer role is based in Dubai, UAE, within the Jebel Ali Free Zone, for TotalEnergies Lubricants Blending UAE Company. The position focuses on operations improvement, energy and carbon management, safety leadership, continuous improvement, and digital transformation initiatives. The role involves cross-functional coordination with both internal teams and external contractors. The engineer will implement Lean and Six Sigma tools, drive ESG-focused energy initiatives, develop dashboards, digitize manual processes, and support strategic alignment using methodologies like Hoshin Kanri. They will also ensure compliance with HSSEQ standards and contribute to QMS, EMS, and EnMS systems, with a strong focus on safety, operational efficiency, and cost reduction
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate with sponsors for presentation preparation and examining non-conformances under the Safety Champion Program.
- Facilitate regular safety rounds to identify potential hazards.
- Support Safety Champions in developing and delivering effective presentations during toolbox talks.
- Support initiatives to achieve Energy and CO2 saving targets.
- Manage CO2 reduction initiatives in line with ESG goals.
- Maintain ISO 50001 certification with zero non-conformance issues.
- Lead energy saving campaigns and prepare monthly quizzes.
- Generate innovative ideas and suggest practical improvements for energy efficiencies.
- Assist in workshop preparation under Hoshin Kanri and facilitate strategic alignment sessions.
- Conduct monthly 5S audits of 15+ operational zones, track non-conformities, and train team members.
- Coordinate review meetings for DMAIC and Just-Do-It projects.
- Assist in data collection and analysis using Six Sigma tools like SIPOC, VOC, Fish-Bone Diagram, FMEA, etc.
- Deploy and maintain Kaizen events and error-proofing systems (Poka Yoke).
- Audit Kaizens and develop successful programs to motivate employee-driven improvements.
- Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards for operational KPIs.
- Monitor and analyze daily performance metrics and drive improvements.
- Build and maintain PowerApps to digitize manual workflows.
- Support implementation of Industry 4.0 initiatives and conduct regular gap assessments.
- Design clear and impactful visual presentations for management.
- Assist in conducting feasibility studies for continuous improvement ideas.
Experience & skills
- Knowledge of Lean Management.
- English Language proficiency; Arabic is a plus.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Creative, self-motivated and highly organized.
- Able to handle tasks independently.
- Minimum of 2ā3 years of work experience (preferably in manufacturing environment).
- Bachelor Degree (preferably Engineering or Business administration).
