Job description
Emirates Group IT builds the systems behind the world's largest international airline, and delivery happens through agile release trains with several teams working in parallel. This Lead designs and implements the quality engineering practices and processes for the teams on one of those trains, in line with quality standards and best practice guidelines. Test strategies and scalable automation frameworks are central, along with test harnesses that keep end to end tests reliable. Requirements come from technical product owners, architects and software engineers, and your job is to turn complex functional and non-functional requirements into end to end tests that exercise the real business process. Cross dependencies with other release train teams need managing too. Software Engineers look to you for guidance on writing automated functional tests through continuous integration, and Quality Gate requirements have to be understood and met before anything moves. Test tools are configured to feed metrics into program and enterprise-wide dashboards. Although the role is hands-on and carries no formal line management, you support the Principal Quality Assurance Engineer on major delivery initiatives across domains and environments. Expect to bring 5+ years in quality engineering on complex, scalable software, with a strong grasp of SIT, E2E, UAT support, regression, CI/CD quality controls, APIs and microservices.
