Job description
The Specialist Analytics - Consumer Telecom at Ooredoo Qatar is responsible for enhancing the data analytics function by collaborating with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, Strategy, Regulatory, and Corporate Services. The role involves leveraging data insights for impactful use cases that contribute to the strategic business roadmap. It plays a crucial part in Ooredooâs Consumer business unit, supporting long-term value creation through informed decision-making in product design, sales revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction. This role requires 8 years of relevant experience in data analysis and performance reporting, with at least 5 years in a telecommunications setting working alongside commercial teams. The candidate must possess hands-on experience with SQL, aggregate design, and dashboard development tools, along with a comprehensive understanding of telecom KPIs and operational metrics. A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, or Engineering is required.

Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Operations, and other business units to develop impactful analytics use cases
- Support the development of business strategies and roadmaps through data-driven insights
- Perform business data analysis, reporting, and performance analytics
- Leverage telecom KPIs and business models for analysis and strategic decision-making
- Design aggregates and dashboards for performance tracking and operational visibility
- Ensure effective data analytics practices to support Consumer BUâs goals in revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction
- Automate tasks using SQL scripts to streamline data processing and analysis
- Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and recurring performance reports
- Partner with business units to define and track relevant KPIs
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in all reporting outputs
- Conduct ad hoc analysis and reports to support specific business questions or initiatives
- Interpret data and present insights in a clear, business-friendly format
- Understand CVM strategies and perform detailed analyses of UCG and UTG to evaluate campaign effectiveness
- Collaborate with data engineering or IT teams to ensure data availability and quality
- Support monthly and quarterly business reviews with data analysis
- Maintain documentation of metrics definitions and reporting methodologies
Experience & skills
- 8 years of experience in business data analysis, reporting, or performance analytics
- At least 5 years of experience in a telecommunications operator working with commercial teams
- Proven experience with telecom KPIs, business models, and operational metrics
- Hands-on experience with SQL, aggregate design, and dashboard development tools
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Finance, or Engineering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
