Job description
Passengers, baggage, staff and facilities across Abu Dhabi Airports need protection against unlawful acts, and this senior manager sets the long-term aviation security strategy that provides it. Policies, procedures and programmes are built around GCAA requirements and international aviation security standards. Security master plans and contingency plans are developed with the COO and airport General Managers, then rolled out across every airport. Advanced security technology and automation are introduced where they raise efficiency or cut cost. Incident response and emergency management plans sit with you, along with expert guidance on search techniques, control measures and incident handling. Requests from pilots and aircraft crews get a prompt response, and inspections of operational areas, including runways and navigational installations, take place where required. Daily security activity reports, incident reports and management reports go up the line, and audits are supported with corrective actions where gaps appear. Section objectives, KPIs, budget and manpower are managed by you, and the team receives coaching with attention to Emiratization. Eight years in aviation security management and a Bachelor's in Airport Management or a related field are required.
