The Senior SCM Specialist – Engineered Materials & Project Procurement at Subsea7 is responsible for managing procurement activities for engineered materials and services as assigned by the Project SCM Manager, ensuring full compliance with technical specifications, safety performance requirements, budget constraints, schedule commitments, quality standards, and contractual risk considerations. The role supports the execution of sourcing strategies across assigned business areas through effective business partnering, procurement expertise, and supply chain coordination. It contributes to the development and continuous improvement of local and global SCM strategies, ensuring alignment with cost efficiency objectives and high-performance supply chain operations. The position is responsible for contributing to the selection, management, and monitoring of vendors, ensuring optimal supplier performance and compliance with project requirements. The specialist supports the development and implementation of project procurement plans in collaboration with project management and engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration of procurement activities into project execution. The role also supports operational supply chain activities, assists in implementing SCM strategies, and contributes to knowledge sharing and capability development within the local SCM function. It requires adherence to HSEQ standards and promotes a strong safety and compliance culture, including familiarity with Bribery and Corruption Acts and ethical business practices. The role involves working with SAP and S/4HANA systems to manage RFQ processes and procurement workflows, while also evaluating cost, schedule, and commercial implications of technical decisions. Additionally, the Senior SCM Specialist provides coaching and guidance to junior team members and supports continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain organization, particularly within offshore and complex engineered project environments.

Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of supply chain management strategies and ensure alignment with organizational cost efficiency and operational goals
- Execute sourcing strategies for assigned business areas through business partnering, procurement expertise, and stakeholder collaboration across project teams
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes including RFQ preparation, tender support, vendor selection, and contract administration using SAP S/4HANA systems
- Coordinate and support the development of project procurement plans in collaboration with project management, engineering, and relevant stakeholders
- Evaluate technical procurement requirements and assess associated commercial, cost, and schedule impacts to support informed decision-making
- Monitor, manage, and evaluate vendor performance to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and contractual obligations
- Support implementation of local and global SCM initiatives while contributing to continuous improvement of supply chain processes and efficiencies
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to junior supply chain team members to strengthen overall SCM capability within the organization
- Ensure adherence to HSEQ standards, ethical practices, and compliance with anti-bribery and corruption regulations across procurement activities
- Contribute to lessons learned processes and promote best practices in procurement and supply chain management for offshore and engineered projects
Experience & skills
- Apply minimum 10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management within engineering, offshore, or oil and gas industries
- Hold a degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent qualification gained through professional experience
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Aramco supply chain processes and tender support within the Middle East region
- Utilize SAP and SAP S/4HANA systems for RFQ management, procurement execution, and supply chain operations
- Interpret technical specifications and understand engineering discussions to assess commercial and scheduling impacts of procurement decisions
- Apply strong cost management and cost-saving orientation within procurement and sourcing activities
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including engineering, project management, and vendors
- Demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills within complex offshore project environments
