Job description
This role exists to check the work, not do it, providing the CEO Office with independent oversight of Real-Estate project delivery, design and development, procurement, and commercial work streams. You will review project progress, procurement, and contract-compliance data submitted by delivery teams, validating it against approved budgets, programmes, and policies rather than producing it directly. Audit-style reviews of procurement awards, payment certifications, change orders, and claims get conducted periodically, flagging exceptions for compliance and recoverability. Design and development activity gets governed at MDO level, reviewing stage-gate approvals, consultant deliverables, and development milestones against approved scope, budget, and programme as an assurance check rather than design management. Governance controls, including approval gates, documentation, and sign-offs, need assuring across every active work stream. A consolidated oversight tracker gets maintained across all active Capital Projects work streams, covering progress, procurement, design and development, risk, and claims. Structured, exception-based weekly and monthly reports get prepared, covering status, risks, required decisions, and options. Dashboards built in Power BI give real-time visibility into KPIs, cost and schedule exposure, and control status. Issues surfaced by delivery teams get triaged and packaged with analysis and recommended options, while the risk register and escalation log get maintained so items reach the right decision-maker with adequate context. Directives and action items get tracked to closure, with deliverables validated against defined acceptance criteria before anything gets marked complete.
