Job description
Cognizant is seeking an experienced Senior Sales Manager to support its rapid growth in Saudi Arabia, expanding the company's integration, technology, and outsourcing services for large accounts in the tech and telecom sectors. The role involves direct client engagement, business development, and P&L ownership for accounts exceeding $5 million. Based in Riyadh with a hybrid work model, the position reports to the Client Partner and entails regular client visits. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing client relationships, securing new business, managing proposals, and aligning strategic plans with market opportunities in the banking and insurance sectors.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with existing clients in Saudi Arabia, identifying new opportunities and expanding current engagements.
- Penetrate accounts where Cognizant’s brand is not yet established, showcasing capabilities and delivering tailored value propositions.
- Lead the creation of high-quality proposals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to meet client requirements.
- Handle RFPs and RFIs within an international context.
- Drive the end-to-end business development process, coordinating with delivery, technical, and pre-sales teams.
- Develop go-to-market strategies tailored for the banking and insurance segments.
- Manage client P&L exceeding $5 million, including reporting and metric assessment.
- Enhance backlog, optimize resource mix, and navigate scope changes to meet client expectations.
- Conduct client meetings to establish a positive client experience.
- Work towards signing, revenue, and margin targets for assigned accounts.
Experience & skills
- 10+ years of experience in a client-facing role within IT professional services firms or offshore outsourcing industry, with significant telco sector penetration.
- Experience managing client P&L over $5 million.
- Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively with stakeholders up to C-suite level.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
- Proactive mindset and ability to work across all organizational levels.
- MS or MBA degree preferred.
- Proven track record in business development in Saudi Arabia.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to devise strategic solutions to enterprise-level business problems.
