Job description
The Subsea Service Engineer role at TechnipFMC in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, supports Subsea Systems Engineering (SSE) projects by participating in engineering solutions in accordance with TechnipFMC standards, procedures, processes, schedules, budgets, and quality requirements, with continuous focus on targets and customer satisfaction. The role provides technical support to internal and external customers for ongoing projects, field operations, and onshore activities, and performs original design and layout work to develop new or modified subsea products. The position applies engineering theory, mathematics, and practical mechanics to solve design and operational problems and supports manufacturing, fabrication, installation, maintenance, refurbishment, repair, and commissioning activities. The Subsea Service Engineer creates, checks, and issues engineering documentation, technical specifications, reports, TCE, and engineering documents through the ECN process, participates in design reviews, prepares all levels of engineering calculations, and develops procedures and work instructions for mobilization, demobilization, maintenance, refurbishment, and repair. The role includes handling Quality and Service Notifications, supporting refurbishment and remanufacture activities, evaluating and approving concessions or deviations, attending System Integration Tests (SITs), participating in technical meetings with clients and suppliers, supporting local HSEQ activities including RCA’s, HAZOP’s, and Risk Assessments, and providing on-site support for installation and commissioning of new products when required. All activities are performed in compliance with TechnipFMC Engineering, Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities
- Participate in Subsea Systems Engineering projects under supervision of senior engineers in compliance with TechnipFMC standards, procedures, schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.
- Provide technical assistance to projects, manufacturing, fabrication, installation sites, and onshore operations.
- Write, issue, create, and check technical specifications, reports, TCE, and engineering documentation through the ECN process.
- Assist in the development of design basis for subsea projects and manufacturing operations.
- Prepare all levels of engineering calculations and participate in formal design reviews.
- Create, review, and maintain procedures and work instructions for mobilization, demobilization, maintenance, refurbishment, and repair activities.
- Perform dispositions of Quality and Service Notifications and support refurbishment and remanufacture activities including evaluation and approval of concessions or deviations.
- Participate in technical meetings with internal teams, clients, and suppliers and attend System Integration Tests (SITs).
- Support local HSEQ activities including Root Cause Analysis (RCA), HAZOP studies, and Risk Assessments.
- Provide on-site support for new product installation and commissioning and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Experience & skills
- Hold a minimum BS degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering.
- Demonstrate first professional experience in an engineering field.
- Demonstrate strong basic knowledge in engineering principles, theory, mathematics, and practical mechanics.
- Demonstrate strong basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and fundamental office practices.
- Demonstrate ability to support engineering documentation, calculations, procedures, and subsea service activities in accordance with TechnipFMC standards.
- Demonstrate fluency in English, with Arabic language skills preferred, both written and oral.
