Job description
Omantel's TechCo+ ambition depends on finding the right emerging technology services early and turning them into something customers will pay for. Reporting to the General Manager Digital Growth in Muscat, this Senior Manager leads that work across FinTech, InsurTech, Super Apps, TravelTech and MedTech. Each opportunity moves through identification, evaluation, incubation and validation, with minimum viable offerings, pilot success criteria and scale readiness defined along the way. The business case is yours end to end, from revenue and cost modelling to the call on whether to build, buy, partner or invest. Commercial structuring follows, whether that means revenue sharing, white-label, referral, joint venture, equity or venture models, negotiated with Legal, Regulatory, Finance and Procurement through to signed agreement. Partner contracts are then managed across their lifecycle, covering SLAs, renewals and renegotiation. Telecom assets such as carrier billing, identity, network APIs, IoT and data give Omantel an edge in these propositions, and monetising them is central to the role. Portfolio and budget ownership means shifting funding away from underperforming initiatives when the numbers call for it. Expect to lead a team, support Omanisation, and bring 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3 in management.
Required skills
